IPEK at the Cardiac Regeneration and Vascular Biology Conference, Italy

From June 30 to July 2, 2025, the picturresque island of San Servolo in Venice set the stage for the 11th Cardiac Regeneration and Vascular Biology Conference — and IPEK was delighted to participate
Nawraa Naser, Federica Tosato, award winner Arailym Aronova, Prof. Sabine Steffens and Zoe Moeller at the San Servolo Conference.

Top scientists gathered to exchange their latest research on heart repair and vascular biology. IPEK’s own Prof Sabine Steffens served on the Scientific Board of the conference, alongside renowned experts Prof Christian Kupatt (TUM University Hospital, Munich) Prof Oliver Söhnlein (University of Münster), Prof. Jürgen Bernhagen (LMU Munich), Prof. Markus Sperandio (LMU Munich) and Prof. Derk Frank (University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein). Together with institute Director Prof. Christian Weber , Prof. Steffens also showcased the institute’s recent studies as part of the  SyNergy Session

Adding to this, four outstanding PhD students from the CRC 1123 Graduate School - Nawraa Naser, Federica Tosato and Arailym Aronova from the Dichgans Lab as well  Zoe Moeller from the Duchene Megens Lab received travel grants in recognition of their academic excellence. The grants enabled them to present their work and connect with leading national and international scientists.

At the Young Investigator Competition Session Arailym Aronova from the Dichgans Labwon the Young Investigator Award for her  work on Scavenger receptor F1 in atherosclerosis. Congratulations to Arailym !
