Yong's PhD thesis focused on  myeloid cannabinoid CB1 receptor in atherosclerosis.

Yong was enrolled within the CRC1123 Graduate School PhD Program, allowing him to collect the necessary European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) points to obtain his PhD in Medical Research. The CRC1123 offers doctoral candidates and MDs,  a large array of projects within different scientific landscapes.
