Congratulations to Dr. Shia Yi Xuan on her PhD Thesis

We extend our congratulations to  Shia Yi Xuan from the Steffens Lab on successfully defending her PhD thesis on the "Role of non-classical monocytes in angiotensin II-induced cardiac remodelling"

Shia's PhD thesis shed light on sex differences in cardiac fibrosis and immune mechanisms involved in this process.

Shia was enrolled within the CRC1123 Graduate School PhD Program, allowing her to collect the necessary European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) points to obtain her PhD in Medical Research. The CRC1123 offers doctoral candidates and MDs,  a large array of projects within different scientific landscapes.
