Dr. Mohanta studied Veterinary Medicine in India followed by a Master in Biomedicine degree at University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom, and completed PhD training on Molecular Medicine (Vascular) at Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena in 2014. He then pursued a Postoctoral Fellowship at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich with a special interest in vascular biology and atherosclerosis. In 2022, he established his independent cardiovascular research group on neuroimmune circuitry at the LMU Munich.  He is one of the founders of Easemedcontrol GmbH.
